Facilities

The newest addition to the St. Cloud State University athletic facilities list, Husky Stadium opened in the fall of 2004. This multi-purpose facility has seating for 4,198 spectators and is the home of St. Cloud State Lacrosse, football and soccer. The field and stadium overlooks the scenic Mississippi River and features a state-of-the-art synthetic playing surface along with lights for night play. In the winter months, the field will be covered with an inflatble bubble that provides outstanding practice space for many of the SCSU athletic teams and SCSU's recreation sports programs.

Other facilities include a top-notch pressbox (which includes three radio booths and one booth for television), coaches' boxes, President's Suite, concession stands, ticket booths, scoreboard, stadium concourse and bathroom facilities.

Husky Stadium is connected to Halenbeck Hall by the new SCSU Student Fitness Center. This facility will offer all SCSU students with a first-class fitness center featuring state-of-the-art fitness equipment including weight training equipment, treadmills and fitness bikes. The facility will also offer two dance studios and a climbing wall along with office space and classrooms. Convenient access to Halenbeck Hall's South Fieldhouse is also available from the new Fitness Center.

The new fitness center and Husky Stadium are the newest components in an outstanding athletic facility at SCSU. They also help centralize the University's athletic facilities, as the main Halenbeck Hall gymnasium is connected to the fitness center and stadium, and the National Hockey Center is adjacent to the new facilities.
