Local Organization of the National Weather Association:

 

To become a member the local chapter of the NWA all you need to be is enrolled as a student at SCSU. We are open to any student who is willing to be an active participant and has a desire to learn about the weather. The best part is that you can be of any major on campus, you DON'T have to be a meteorology member!!!

Turn in this application to any of our officers, or to the Earth and Atmospheric Sciences Department in the basement of the Math and Science Building. Please make note of the cost of our dues as well!!

National Organization of the NWA Membership Info

We are requesting that all member use this process of signing up for the national organization. If you are a current member, you will be receiving a letter in the MAIL informing you of how to renew your national membership.

 

National Chapter of the American Meteorological Society(AMS):

One of the best things you can do while your a student is to join the AMS. You will be able to purchase many very, very useful meteorological journals that will be sent to you during the school year. As well as receiving these journals, you will also have access to a wide array of things on the AMS webpage which are exclusively there for students!

Membership is rather reasonable for students and you will receive a discounted membership for up to 3 years after you graduate from college!
