Student Goverment honored at MnSCU Awards

President Jamnick accompanied President Potter and representatives from Sodexho, the Lindgren Child Care Center, and Atwood Memorial Center as St. Cloud State University was honored for the "Fried Ride" program together with Metro Bus.

Mission of the Student Government Association

The primary purpose of the Student Senate is to be the representative governmental voice of all St. Cloud State University students.   The Student Government exists for the students as created by the students.  The Student Government will work to diminish the needs and promote the wants of SCSU students.  The Student Government will work to directly involve SCSU students in the campus decisions which affect them.  It shall be an avenue for the organization of student backed action on campus.  Leadership and organizational experience will be offered to interested students through Student Government involvement.
Student dollars will be responsibly budgeted and allocated by the Student Government.  At all times, the Student Government will oversee the use of Student Activity dollars.
The Student Government will inform the students of all decision which it makes along with other vital information.  It will also act as a sounding board for legitimate student complaints and problems.
The Student Government will represent the students’ view to the SCSU administration, the St. Cloud community and the Minnesota Legislature.  The Student Government adopts the goals of St. Cloud State University in their entirety.
